Upload Answers How do I upload a file or an image? To upload a file or an image you need to perform a few easy steps. Firstly, clicking on the 'Upload' link in our main navigation, found above. You then need to read over the rules to check you are not breaking them. After you've done that, fill in the appropriate textboxes. Click the browse button and locate the file you want to upload from your PC to 2and2.net. You may tick the 'Make Private' checkbox if you want to keep your file protected from being viewed by others without your consent. If you do decide to tick this box you do not need to fill in the name and description textboxes. Once you're done click the Upload button underneath and wait for the page to change. You will now be presented with the URL to your file. Do I need to pay or register before I upload? To use 2and2.net you do not need to register or provide us with any personal details at all. First of all re-read the guidelines found on the upload page. After you've checked you meet those requirements then you should note the file type you were provided with, when the error appeared. You should then check that the file type given matches the extension of the file. For example if the error message says image/gif and your file is called logo51256.bmp then clearly, you must rename your file to logo51256.gif. If you're still having problems and the file type that was stated in the error is on our upload guidelines, then try and contact us for more help. Which file types am I permitted to upload and what is the max file size for each? To see a list of the all the file types you are allowed to upload and their max file sizes, please visit our upload page. Image and File Answers Does 2and2.net permit direct linking/hotlinking? Hotlinking IS permitted on 2and2.net. Hotlinking is when an image is used on a website, a forum signature, an auction etc. I'm trying to access my image or file and I get redirected to the site map, what is wrong? If you are being redirected to our site map page then its due to you visiting a page that does not exist. If you're trying to access your image or file then make sure you are visiting the correct URL. If you really can't find the correct URL then feel free to upload the file. The only other possible reason is that your file broke our rules, which are clearly stated on the upload page. How can I convert my image into a file format that you allow to be uploaded? If you have an image that is not one of our permitted file types, then use the Easy Graphic Converter to change them into acceptable formats. I uploaded a file or an image and I want it deleted, how can I do this? At the moment, there is no way to remove your file off 2and2.net. Unless you have realized after your upload that its breaks the rules, we see no reason for an image or a file to be deleted. However, if you request your file to be deleted using our contact page, then we will happily remove it for you. |
